Divisions
Over 90 patrol units cover in excess of 500 miles of roadway on 40+ square miles of land mass and 26 miles of shoreline.
The city contains more than 16,500 homes and the Hendersonville Police Department answers over 55,000 calls for service annually.
The patrol units also patrol all parks within the city which see well over 100,000 visitors each year.

Patrol Map
Motorcycle officers afford us the opportunity to respond to any situation that may arise within our rapidly growing city.
The HPD mounted patrol offers great flexibility and allows the officers an opportunity to visit with the citizens.
The HPD has a team of dedicated bike officers who patrol our many shopping areas, apartment complexes and streets.
Their ability in quick maneuvering is an asset in crime prevention.
With over 26 miles of shore line on Old Hickory Lake, our dive team and boating patrols have a huge responsibility.
They are active throughout the entire year.
Our team of K-9 officers and their partners are well respected throughout the state.
These teams have assisted in countless drug arrests that keep our city a safe place to live and raise a family.
Communication
Our communications officers stand in the gap between our citizens and those who have taken an oath to serve and protect,
answering well over 55,000 calls for service annually.
SWAT
Our SWAT unit is recognized throughout the state for their exceptional training program.
Assault tactics employed by the unit reflect police strategy of handling and dealing with various situations involving confrontations with potentially dangerous suspects.
The concept of "apprehension of the suspect" is accomplished through the primary discipline of approaching each situation as a "life saving mission".
Our Criminal Investigation Division (C.I.D.) is responsible for major investigations including homicides, suspicious deaths and child abuse cases.
